{A Happy Friday Sneak Peek}

Happy Friday! It's been a jam-packed week here at Jennifer Carroll Events! With the holidays coming up, we're exploring fun new paper designs; updating our website to bring you up to speed with our designs and events; and finding inspiration in the gorgeous fall weather for upcoming projects! We are always striving to find beauty in the everyday, as this recent wedding we designed shows.

We love mixing glamour with rustic whimsy-- so be sure to check in on Monday for a full look at this pretty summer wedding!

In other news-- we were featured in The Hook newspaper's fall wedding issue! The Hook included Jennifer Carroll Events in their feature "The List: Thirteen Things That Could Go Wrong," a fun piece that asked local planners and designers for advice about how a savvy bride could handle the little mishaps that could happen with any big event. Think clashes with vendors, a slow wait staff, or stained dresses. We loved being able to impart some of our wisdom and experience to local readers! Beach-Inspired Invites for a Blustery Fall Day

It might be a grey, chilly fall day {all the better for accentuating the gorgeous autumn colors!}, but we've brought a bit of summer to our office here at Jennifer Carroll Events. We love continuing our work with former clients-- and here we had the chance! Paige and her delightful mother Barbara asked us to create beach-inspired invitations for a November bridal luncheon-- proof that you can channel summer fun in any season!

We garnered inspiration from New Jersey beaches and the bride's navy and white color palatte to create this playful invitation suite. The starfish was our main image of choice-- found on the raised, textured centerpiece of the invitation and repeated on the inside flap of the envelope and stamped with the return address. It was a simple concept that returned  clean, classic, and romantic results!

Best wishes to Stefanie as she embarks upon her marriage and good luck to Barbara in hosting what promises to be an elegant, but splashy, luncheon!

{Sneak Peek} Some Not-so-Chilly Inspiration

Happy Friday! We've had such a fun week here at Jennifer Carroll Events-- sending out our November newsletter, which we've designed to look like an online magazine, and creating a Facebook fan page {took us long enough, right?!} But it hasn't been all sunshine and warmth here in Va. Fall has come and  while we love it, we're shivering! Luckily, we've had some fun design projects to keep our thoughts on warmer weather.

This custom-made invite could be perfect for a reception, private party, or shower. You can channel the beach even in the cooling autumn weather! Check in next week for a full look at this sea-inspired invitation suite!

Okay, okay-- it's rare to see a full-blown Halloween-themed wedding these days. But why not use elements of everyone's favorite holiday-- costumes, the vibrant color orange, pumpkins and gourds-- to inspire your fall nuptials?

Whether it's the peek of a jack-o-lantern on the postage for your wedding invites, a fun monogram carved into a pumpkin, bowls of candy passed around during the reception, or just the pop of an orange shoe under your dress, you can channel the thrill of trick-or-treating into your Big Day without confusing your wedding with a costume party.

Valerie & David: Country Club Chic & Southern Glamour

"It was perfection," swooned Mother of the Bride Wendy Schultz. Valerie & David tied the knot at St. Paul's Memorial Church in Charlottesville, Virginia on a gorgeous July afternoon before busing their friends and family to Farmington Country Club for a glamorous and Southern-inspired reception. We loved all the details this wedding featured-- from a candy buffet to a cigar bar to a custom lounge area, Valerie & David had so many fun inspirations that we were able to implement. "It was a day we'll remember forever," Valerie told us. We feel the same way!

We're Back! {plus, a sneak peek!}

We know, we know-- we've been so blissfully busy the past few months that we've neglected our darling readers! But as the fall weather cools us off and autumn weddings get underway, we're preparing to ramp up our posts, launch a fun monthly newsletter, and introduce you to our new website, www.jennifercarroll.net.

Valerie & David's Farmington summer wedding was packed with intimate, DIY-inspired details! We created custom drink flags to distinguish the couple's two signature drinks-- mint juleps for the Virginia bride and margaritas for the Texas groom!
